SIMPLE FLORAL RE-ARRANGEMENTS

I love flowers and lucky for me my family and friends know that about me. I find myself getting to enjoy the beauty of floral arrangements around special occasions throughout the year and I love every second it, truly.

As we all know too well, flowers don’t always live forever (although dried arrangements kind of fixed that problem) but you can extend the life of these beautiful works of art. As my bouquets start to fade I remove the blooms that are really taking away from the beauty of the arrangement. If I can re-purpose those blooms by letting them dry and adding them to a dried arrangement I do.

There will come a time however, when most of the blooms have faded and this is the time to re-arrange, a treat in-itself. I try to find a smaller vase or vessel around my house that suits the arrangement. Sometimes it’s a small coffee mug, other times it’s a glass usually meant for drinking water and this time (pictured above) it was my watering can.

I take the pieces of the arrangement that still have life (most often greenery lives the longest) and re-arrange away. I snip the ends until I feel lit looks right. I try to leave them in their original form as much as possible though as the florists tend to do such a wonderful job.

I’ll continue to share my re-arrangements here along with how the florals looked in their original glory for a little inspiration for you.

If you have any questions comment below and I’ll answer the best I can.
