OUR MASTER BEDROOM

I’m so excited to finally share a closer look at our master bedroom. It is still a bit of a work in progress as we wait on a few items to come in (gotta love covid delays) but I’ve just been feeling like the room is slowly getting closer to what I envisioned.

I love the little hallway that leads into our bedroom. One of the reasons we fell in love with our home when we bought it was because of the peaked ceiling in the bedroom. In the summer it looks out over a row of 100 year old oak trees and I love that it feels like a treehouse. I especially love waking up to the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind.

We always wanted to have a tv in our room so we splurged on a frame tv. I am still working away at figuring out what I want displayed on our dresser but I feel like it’s getting there.

I recently re-worked our dresser decor and added a pic of Nick and my wedding, we have some tea light candle votives, a little vase to pop a fresh flower in from the garden in the summer and a little dish my mom gave me with some hearts carved out of stone.

When it came to bedding, I wanted to keep it light and airy. I love our lantern we bought to hang above the bed. It sets such a cozy mood at night before we go to bed. We are still waiting on one more white linen euro cushion to arrive and I need to replace the two darker cushion inserts with down ones but one step at a time.

When it comes to my nightstand I try to keep it clear and organized as it’s the first thing I see when I wake up and when I go to bed. I love having a little jewelry dish where I can take anything off last minute before bed.
