OUR LIVING ROOM SOFA

We are so excited that our living room sofa has arrived. We fell in love with it the second we saw it in the cross showroom. The exposed wood legs were what drew us to it initially. We had been searching to no avail for a sofa with exposed legs and were shocked at how hard they were to come by.

We knew we wanted a light sofa and ended up landing on the colour ‘Campbell Cream’. It was light and airy but slightly warmer in colour than a plain white which we felt really elevated the room, made it cozier and tied in with the colours in our home and other furnishings beautifully. I’m so appreciative to my mom and Claire Rejzek at the Cross who helped us decide on fabric colours. Claire was so patient with us as we debated for a few weeks over fabric samples.

We loved that the sofa had modern and traditional elements and that it was beautiful but most importantly really comfortable. Once we determined the dimensions were right we knew it was the sofa for us.

Styling:

I still may switch in and out some throw cushions and throw blankets that add a pop of colour but for now we are sticking to neutral tones. I love this pillow and throw, both of which we purchased at the cross. I’ve linked them below. I love the texture they add to the sofa.

  • Aveline Sofa in the standard 90” size

  • Campbell Cream fabric colour

  • We swapped the metal leg for a natural wooden one which made it look a little more traditional.
