PLANTER POT INSPIRATION

As you know Nick and I recently moved out of the city and are finally able to start gardening. Although I have big dreams of a large yard with a hydrangea hedge, for now we are restricted to planter pots but it’s a step in the right direction.

For what seems like years now, I’ve been gathering inspiration for years of how I would love to create our garden. I’d say my taste is somewhere between the effortlessly beautiful and wild English country garden filled with tall stems that casually blow in the breeze and the large white hydrangeas that overhang white picket fences like you find in the Hamptons.

For now, I’m scaling those dream down into planter pots. Here’s what’s been inspiring me, I hope these images inspire you too.

I love the simplicity of these planters. They really let the pots shine. I think that if you have a beautiful pot you need a plant that just ads a pop of color and some texture.

I mean who doesn’t love hydrangeas? I love how simple and magnificent this planter is.

It’s so simple but so perfect, I love overflowing planters, it’s so romantic looking. I love a good bacopa and I was never a big fan of petunias until I saw this picture.

There are just few things better than a low distressed and dusty pot with overflowing white geraniums. Oh my, so pretty!

Come on, it’s so cute and perfect. I want to do some small pots like this on a side table, some with herbs and other with little flowers. It feels so French country, I love it.

So simple and perfect, I am obviously learning that I love white petunias. Or something similar like little bellflower white clips which are even more delicate.

These are just so small, cute and perfect. You will definitely be seeing something like this on my patio.

Just beautiful. The bacopa yet again paired with geraniums this time and I love all the trailing plants.

This image is just perfection, I’ve probably pinned it 50 different times. I love the colour of the pots and the simplicity of the hydrangeas used to flank the front door. (plus I mean this house is goals).
